Air Gallery takes off in Wells

A brand new gallery has opened in the City of Wells, offering a contemporary disply of local successful artists.

The Air Gallery is the brainchild of textile designer Jan Ollis, who already runs a successful company Chi-chi moi.  With her interest in local art and her extensive contacts in the contemporary arts world, Jan was in a great position to create a new gallery for Wells.

'Most of teh painters are local with 85% coming from Somerset,' said Jan.

Early visitors to the gallery which has its official opening on Saturday 14th November, have been impressed with the contemporary feel which has been created by artist Simon Ledson.

This is exciting news for Wells which continues to bustle with independent retail outlets and to offer a great choice for locals and visitors who are tired of the 'anytown' retail offer in some bigger centres.
